Is There A Tooth Fairy For Grown Ups?!?!?

Once again I come to you, the listener and blogger, for help in raising our first and only child (to date). Our 7 1/2 month old son now has two teeth with what has to be at least 40 or 50 more on the way...

The child is in pain...often. The teeth wake him from a dead sleep. The teeth wake us. The teeth wake the dog and cause her to sleep on the couch. Our son (& the rest of us) no longer sleep through the night, waking sometimes 3 & 4 times before morning. We don't want to 'orajel him' every night. I am not open to the suggestion of using alcohol on his gums. I however am up to a couple of glasses of shiraz a night). Any suggestions? I'm ready.

Fun Night---Sick Day!!!

Thanks again to everyone at the Pittsburgh Film Office for a GREAT night at Heinz Field. Lights, Glamour, Action is the office's annual fundraiser on Oscar night and it's a black tie, FUN, event. There are only a few occasions a year to get out of the house for a big grown up night out and I would tell you to make this event one of them. We 'work' as red carpet reporters and have a lot of fun---here are a couple of photos. Yes, that is 'Gizmo', otherwise known as my husband Pete. Doesn't he clean up well!?!??! We were so excited and so apprciative for a big night out ---we stayed out late and had adult beverages! Our six month old, was at home with the G's (grandparents).

You know the feeling...you wake up and say to yourself, "if I just get a shower, I'll feel better". After the shower you tell yourself, "once I get a cup of coffee, I'll be fine". Sooner or later, you must admit, you are SICK. Worse yet, here I am at WORK!!! Like most offices, sickness is passed around and around....over and over again. Unlike most offices, if you call off sick here, you are likely leaving someone with A LOT of work in order to make up for you not being there. So the question was, infect J.R. with disease, or call him at 2:30 a.m. to tell him he'll be doing the morning show by himself ( you know how pleasant he is from 5 - 10 a.m....just imagine 2:30 a.m.). Here I am at work...

Oh and I am definitely in on Operation Disney: see J.R.'s blog.

Talk to you soon,
Kate
