Summer Stream of Consciousness...

Summer is light and even when you do get fired up by something and you want to blog---the good weather (and we've had a GREAT stretch of sunshine)wipes out your angst. This is not a bad thing...so here are some things that are going on...

Why are all of the great summer shows passing us by this year? Anyone heard a rumor as to why some of the best tours...from the Police to John Mayer and Beyonce are leaving us out.

ATTN Listeners & Bubbaclubbers ALIKE: Bubba is loved. J.R. and I have much respect for him and enjoy his company very much and love working with him etc. Now quit getting in the way of us picking on him.

Paris Hilton, please go away. I'm even tired of making fun of you in our on air daily Hollywood Gossip feature, 'The Dirt'.

My husband and I celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary this Wednesday. We're going away for the weekend (by ourselves) and one of the things we want to do is see a movie---other than Pirates 3...anyone got a suggestion?

I'm in the early planning stages for my son's 1st birthday party. No 'Momzilla' giant event planned, but I do have to say that there is a clear Elmo bias in our country. Our son loves Cookie Monster and all I can readily find are Elmo cakes, plates, napkins, hats, cups, invitations...you get the idea. When did we become an Elmo nation?!?!?! In our house, you're either with Cookie Monster, or you're against him.

What are you thinking about these days? Let me know...

    Kate,
I found your blog kinda funny about the Elmo situation. My daughter (11 months) likes cookie monster also and I had a heck of a time finding a stuffed toy of him. I finally found one over Christmas. She also likes Snoopy, another hard one to find, but if I see one I will buy it. Needless to say she has 4 Snoopy's (2 are from Met Life seminars) and one Cookie Monster. If I were you I would do a lot of his decorations in blue and white and see if you can find a couple of Cookie Monsters in Toy's R Us.

    Kate,
are you the only woman that ever had a child? Some of your comments are totally over-rated....it almost looks like you think that your kid is the best kid ever.....
