On The Move...

...this is the view I usually get of our son these days! He just turned a year old and he's walking---a lot! At first, it was the drunken, slightly off center, Captain Jack Sparrow weave through the house. Now he's really got the hang of it and last night was walking with his arms at his side. More experienced parents tell me this is when life gets REAL interesting!




...___________________ is the annoying celebrity of the week! Take your pick. We do our gossip feature, 'The Dirt' four times a morning and there are times when I think when we should not further fuel the celebrity crazed culture by continuing to illuminate/celebrate the drama filled days and nights of these seriously flawed individuals. Then I go to perezhilton.com and laugh. You can't make this stuff up.

...One thing we've not mentioned on the morning show is the bittersweet story of the CMU professor, Dr. Randy Pausch. Earlier this week, he gave his farewell lecture at the university; it is 'farewell' because he is dying of pancreatic cancer (at age 47). If you haven't read this story, here's the address.

...Catch any of the new season of Oprah? Did you see Justin Timberlake talk to her about Brit? Oprah gets the biggest stars and the best stories---I don't think her show could ever jump the shark. I do also love that she's down to earth, YET, does not shy away from the fact that she's got money and influence and isn't afraid to use it. It's also nice to know that even being a Billion-freakin'-aire doesn't insulate you from the endless struggle with dieting & weight. You know she'll take it off by Christmas because she has the drive, the trainer, and the chef. Unlike you and I...pass the cookies.


...one movie I am seriously looking foward to this fall/winter? The Sweeney Todd movie from Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. It comes out Friday December 21st. No trailer yet, but here's the imdb.com address with some photos and information. It also stars Alan Rickman and Sacha Baron Cohen.
