TGIF!

There are the weeks that drain the life out of you for good reason and then there are weeks like this one...nothing particularly stressful, everyone healthy and we've actually had a few nice days in a row. Despite the pleasant week, on my way home today I'd still like to stop for a quickie brain transplant.

Perhaps if I ditch a few items currently being held inside my 'Charlie Brown Pumpkin Head', I'll feel better...

Who Will Get Your Vote?... I never understood people who could say, "I have no idea who I'm voting for in this election". I am now that person. I am actually 'stuck' between the two parties ---I've flip flopped several times and because the candidates are camped out here in Pa. until April 22nd, I'm sure I still have time to gather even more information I don't need to flip flop a few more times. Where are you? Who are you voting for in the primary? General?

Six Degrees of Yunzer...Or...All Roads Lead Back To The Burgh Here are some of the things that we ran across this week on the air that truly brought all roads back to the Burgh...

Smart People A major movie release starring Dennis Quaid that takes place in Pittsburgh.

I'd rather meet these two men than George Clooney and Brad Pitt...but I missed my shot. Johnny Depp is still ON my list and will not be replaced by Chewbacca (let's not get crazy).

CSI: Pittsburgh On The Star Morning Show, we again spoke with 'The Doc' from CSI, Robert David Hall. He reminded us he has family from the Burgh. We spoke with actor Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messner) from CSI New York. His co star is actress Melina Kanakaredes who is a graduate of...Point Park University. And lastly, here in Pittsburgh Duquesne University held a forensic science and law conference. Two of the speakers were researchers and actors from the show, CSI.

TV...Are you still watching it? I know the freshie fresh episodes of Desperate Housewives, CSI, Grey's, and others are on or on the way, but I've just got shows stacking up in the TIVO (the greatest invention since the microwave). I will say that one show I've recently been hooked into is on BBC America. My husband sucked me into the world of the new 'Dr. Who'(yes, we're geeks) and we love the show.

For the WTF file...What's with the outbreak of bad parents recently? These three stories have been in the last three weeks!

Story #1 Mommy has allegedly snorted Xanex and can't get up...

Story #2 Aren't fries technically in the vegetable food group...
Story #3 Mommy can't handle her Wild Turkey...

I'm far from Mother of the Year...I make mistakes every day, but these people who are biologically called 'parents' make me sick.

- That's So Raven...STAHL! Billboards, sound systems, and Luke ---oh my! I don't often remark on politics but is this a young mayor in the 'good ol' boy network'after all? I hope not. Like many in the under 40 club, I believed youth would bring positive change in attitude and policies --- not more of the same. Need caught up on what I'm talking about here? Check out this story ...this one too!

A final note...

Our son is STILL not talking. I mean really talking. We get a Mom and Dad here and there...and he babbles all day and he's definitely telling you something...just not sure what...and once in a great while we'll hear what we swear was a word (hopefully not a 'swear word') but he will of course not repeat it. So, here we are waiting...
